Please inform us of schedule changes ASAP! Last-minute disruptions affect other clients & patients. When a pet owner cancels a surgery with less than 36 hours notice, we are unable to fill that spot, which costs us an entire surgery slot & disrupts our work flow. Also, this surgery slot could have been fill with a pet that may have gotten their surgery on a timely schedule.
In order to avoid challenges in collecting from your pet owner, we suggest that you require a $500 non-refundable deposit when scheduling a procedure (applies for cancellation fee & emergency fee) to ensure they are dedicated to moving forward and to cover the cancellation fee if the procedure is cancelled less than 36 hours before the day of surgery.
This includes cancellation if the patient is found to be unfit for surgery on Surgery Day. It is imperative that we receive all requested patient information & diagnostics in advance to ensure surgery is appropriate.
